Recognized on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines and introduced as an effective acne treatment in the 1930s, Benzoyl Peroxide is a proven, effective medicinal ingredient in the Benagel® family of acne treatment products.
Benzoyl Peroxide works in two ways. First, it eliminates acne-causing bacteria and unclogs pores by clearing away dead skin cells. Second, it adds oxygen to the skin, which removes Propionibacterium acne bacteria’s ability to cause redness and inflammation to acne spots.
Adults and adolescents 12 years and older. Shake well before use. Wash face twice daily with Benzagel Acne Wash and warm water using a gentle rubbing action. Rinse off after 20 to 30 seconds. Dry with a clean towel. For new users: Apply product to a small area with a thin layer. Start with one application daily, then gradually increase to two or three times daily, if needed. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.

Do not use on sensitive skin, if you are allergic to benzoyl peroxide. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have severe acne. When using this product: Skin irritation and dryness are more likely to occur when using another topical acne product at the same time. If irritation occurs, use only one product at a time.
