Benzagel is proud to have lent our support to The Peer Project, a Toronto non-profit with the mission of connecting youth with friends and mentors.
We donated 200 of our Acne Care Kits in the hopes of spreading the message of healthy skincare to help them put their best face forward!
The Peer Project | Youth Assisting Youth is dedicated to investing in the leaders of tomorrow and transforming the lives of at-risk and newcomer youth through the power of mentorship. For over 40 years, they’ve paired young adult mentor volunteers between the ages of 16-29, with youth between the ages of 6-15 to engage in activities aimed to develop mind, body, character, and leadership skills. They boast a 98% success rate of keeping kids out of the criminal justice system and engaged in the educational system.
Ed Carlson, Director of Development at The Peer Project, explains further: “HUGE THANKS to Benzagel for donating 150 Acne Kits to our youth mentoring organization in Toronto! This support is amazing and perfect for the youth that we serve between the ages of 6 and 15. Our organization works hard to empower youth with the confidence, self-esteem and skills that they need to live healthy, productive lives.”
“This donation from Benzagel will absolutely help our youth to understand to the importance of good hygiene, while also giving them an amazing product that they can use to feel good about themselves. On behalf of everyone at The Peer Project | Youth Assisting Youth, thank you for the donation and support of our important youth mentoring program.”
Working with the Peer Project to determine how to get our Acne Care Kits into the right hands was a great experience and we hope to do it again soon!
